Family matters are important in wine making.

The castle can trace its origins back to the 13th century. Originally built as a home for the Lord of Fuissé, it is now one of the oldest buildings in the village of Burgundy. At that time, the property was already planted with vines. The castle was called Vitallis at the beginning of the 19th century when Monsieur Ange Henry Vitallis inherited the property from his parents.

All 17 hectares of Chardonnay vineyards at Château Vitallis have rich and varied soils. Denis and Maxime Dutron create their wines with patience and skill to maintain and enhance the typicity of each vineyard’s terroir.

The result is wines with character, elegance and distinction: Mâcon-Vinzelles, Mâcon-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé.
